Thankyou.

OH MY GOD, This is soo important!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Postby SkierSynergy » Wed Oct 28, 2009 5:45 pm

This is such an important movie for the most imnportant door to all mountain skiing.

There are lots of people wo can do GS sized park and ride turns who have avoided learning connected slow, two-footed release turns. No wonder they can only ski groomers and never have speed control!

Put this movie on your i-pod or phone an take it to the mountain with you!

I think the most difficult thing for many people is the act of wiggling (untippping-tipping) their feet to forward side slip in. Without doing any other movement - no twisting, stemming, etc. It seems weird, but to seemingly step backwards and work on being able to efficiently release and forward side slip into the turn, but this is the key!

DON'T SKIP THIS SKILL! Do it until you can easily link turns. OH MY GOD, THIS IS GOOD!

Great job Harald. The editing is good also, but WHAT you are teaching and how well you demonstrate this is ...
well all I can say is that we all (no matter what level we think we are at) need study this well.

Thanks guys, this one took many days and hours, and I shortened it to make it more simple. There is more in the pipeline. I'd like Jay to tell you all about the post on pressure and how hard he had to work to eliminate his early leg extension.

The content is excellent but you need some 'eye candy' visuals to capture the attention of the youtube generation.

Hop to 4:40 in this video to see an example what I'm talking about.

Really great work. I agree - best to date. There is enough material there to keep most skiers busy for at least a season!

I'm new here and don't want to ruffle anyone's feathers, but this video is boring. I can't even watch for 1 minute let alone 4 to get to the section recommended. I think the video HH put up has much more appeal. I would not resort to overkill graphics and effects, stick to the valid content like you have, it's powerful,

Thanks SkierSynergy, as I said I'm new. I appreciate the tone of this forum. It gives people a chance to see skiing in a whole new light. It's refreshing.

It's actually very well thought out, the kink move is worth adding to a bag of tricks. It shows great balance, no pole on the stage to hang on to.

Yes... yes! At 4:40 the instruction becomes much more interesting! It could lead this thread in a whole new direction....

As I said, I think she shows great balance and is not dancing around a pole.

I missed the pole dancing/CB reference. That is great. Good one!
