Head Raptor 90

Postby albertsukhraj » Fri Mar 30, 2012 2:20 pm

Hello everyone,

I have trouble finding good skiboots. Always to big for me or unavailable.
Right now im looking at the Head Raptor 90rs junior ( a boot recommended by Harald).
My weight is a 158lbs and im 5.3 feet. My age:43. I need a size 24 boot.

My question: is this a good boot for me considering my weight and lenght?

That's not a very stiff boot for 158lbs.

Yeah, I have to second that. The 110's would seem to be a better choice. My wife is 118 lbs and skis in 110 flex boots with no issue at all.
Balance: Essential in skiing and in life!

I am about your size and weight although 18 years older. When I started skiing again 5 seasons ago, I got some Nordica Dobermann Pro 100's that ended up being too soft. I am now in Nordica Dobie WC 150's and much happier.

Most ski shops that serve the race community can get you boots in the 110 - 150 flex range. Most race boots then need to be fitted by a competent boot fitter, that means a boot fitter that has been trained by Harald & uses Harald's methodology. If you let us know where you live, suggestions regarding boot fitters and ski shops can be made.

I weight about 155 and ski in a Dobie 130 which is friendlier than a 150 flex. I've got Raptor 150s but hate trying to get them on/off.

Thanks everyone.
Looks like it is going to be difficult to get the right boot in the right(24 mondo,US 6) size.
Here in the Netherlands/Europe, shops only carry larger sizes. :| :| :|
