'Tipping Water"

Postby Bluey » Thu Mar 11, 2004 2:45 pm

Has anyone done the exercise where the PMTS instructor asks you to practise "Tipping Water" ........ie you have to pretend you have a bucket of water on top of your outside shoulder and as you go thru each turn you are supposed to try to continually tip the water form the outside shoulder's bucket gradually out towards the outside of the turn........

Its been a while since I did this exercise and can't seem to remember what this is trying to achieve.
What should I be focusing on?
Is it about angulation?
Upper/Lower body coordination?
Soft edging??

Any advice would be appreciated...

Thanks JC....I followed your reference to Book 2 pages 118 to 123 ( Dynamic ULBC ).

These pages in Book 2 don't refer to the exercises that are described therein as "Tipping Water".......but it still covers all the points I raised.

Thanks again
