Atomic Redster 150?

Postby noobSkier » Wed May 29, 2019 12:53 pm

In March I swapped out my B3's for newer (and smaller) B3's but wasn't 100% satisfied with the fit. I need backup boots in case the new B3's don't work out and my old B3's are cracked in multiple areas. The Atomic 150's are crazy cheap right now, worth it?

It depends on the version / vintage that you're looking at. Some vintages of that boot do not have enough cuff adjustment to get the cuff soft enough for most skiers... The result is a cuff-strong setup that makes it very challenging, if-not impossible to balance on the LTE. Even if you know what you're doing with the setup, it can be a challenging one to work with given the combination of the lateral and rotational adjustment available in the cuff (the rotation does not make up for the limitations in lateral movement). The more recent versions of the boot (maybe 2018 onward? ...someone will have to fact-check me here) do not have these issues, but older boots may leave you wishing you had a different boot.
