Head i.SL Ski

Postby tigernbr » Mon Jun 04, 2018 9:24 am

I've read in other threads that the i.SL is the best ski for PMTS beginners. Is the ski in this link the right one? As for length, 160 or 165? I am male, 175# and a beginner to PMTS. Any input would be appreciated.

I haven't seen the 2018 ISL's. These look right but they have an incorrect turn radius listed and it also says Sandwich Cap construction. The ISL that you want does not have hybrid sandwich/cap construction. My guess is that this is the right ski but the retailer is somewhat clueless and has made a mistake in their description. The only way to know for sure is by calling them.

Be sure to compare what they say to the Head website

Thanks for your answer jbotti. It looks like Head may have changed the construction on the 2018 i.sl's. If you click on the link to the Head site, then look under Technologies, under the Graphene section, you'll find this:

https://www.head.com/us-US/sports/ski/t ... /graphene/

Does this type of construction matter for a PMTS ski? I have not yet looked into the other things you mentioned but I will do that soon and post what I find.
