Ski length advice Head SS

Postby alex_aku » Fri Mar 16, 2018 1:55 pm

Hi,

sorry need to ask the eternal question - which ski length?
I am 6'2" (189cm), 210lbs (95kg), I'd say athletic, 45y.o., looking to replace 6 year old Head SS KERS in currently 170cm length. I think I will look no further but just goo for Head SS i.Speed, just cannot decide btwn. 170 or 177cm. My level in PMTS is probably "just passed beginner" (I attended one camp and practiced after that 2 seasons). I am not a speed-junkie, practice at mostly low-medium speeds trying to improve PMTS skills.

Current: Head SS KERS, 170, 12m radius
Option 1: Head SS i.Speed, 170cm (comes to the chin), 14m radius
Option 2: Head SS i.Speed, 177cm (comes to my nose), 14,9m radius.
Should I consider any other options?

Staff in shops push me to even 184cm, but I don't trust them.

Thanks in advance!

Get the 170cm length. Everything you are attempting to learn will be easier on it. SS I.Speed is a great ski and all you need right now.
Balance: Essential in skiing and in life!
