MA front view and back view Jepoupatout

Also what was very challenging was to extend the stance leg with wide stance without pushing on that leg. I think that's why i had a tendency during my first day of practice to put to much weight on my free leg even if was flex a lot. The strong CB help me a lot to charge the stance leg early without pushing on it. The last point was about the risk of Hip dumping when not CB enough and not early. The Power release turn is more challenging that it looks like.

Here is a video 3 weeks ago of my first day of practice with Power Release.

This one was the following day and i think it had an impact on my free ski

Your skiing looks very good!

I agree the Power Release drill can be a real breakthrough. I always marvelled at how the racers and the best skiers could create such big angles. For me it definitely was the key drill. It safely exagerates big angle movements, the independent long leg short leg roles and flexing to release. The need for large early CB movements follows.

Thanks Ale for your good comments, I strongly beleive that the Power release drill will bring me at a higher level. Unfortunately my ski season almost ended, we had a lot of rain recentely and expecting even more next week with very temperature + 12 to +16 Celcius. I hope tomorrow to have a chance to ski again and after that who knows.

Great skiing! The only thing I noticed is that your CB was better on the turns to your left than the turns to your right (you even apparently lost your balance a couple of times when turning right during the power release drill).

I see a bit of back seat. Hips forward, feet pulled back under the hips more will pressure the front third and tips of the ski.

That is not PMTS related instruction.

Definite progress here. I'm finally seeing flexing to release in the latest 2 videos.

I also agree regarding the fore/aft comment - pull your feet back harder at your transitions.

True. Pull the feet back is the prefered movement cue.

That said I have heard Diana tell a fellow student for a couple of days running to "tuck your butt forward", without any mention of "pulling the feet back". It worked a treat for the student. In fact the "TYBF " was that student's only focus for two days. The student had a full on J.Lo thing happening.

Sounds like Diana was addressing a different issue.
