ski decision dilemna

I have decided to get a pair of Supershape Magnums for this season. I have an opportunity to buy last year's ski (2010) for $550.00 with binding, new. I also may be able to get a 2011 for $800.00 or worst scenario $950.00. I have read a fair bit about the KERS technology and have had a couple of people advise me to get the new one with KERS. A couple of people said that last years was a great ski and I'd be happy with it. The money is a factor, but not the main deciding factor- I want a great ski too. I am on the east coast and ski mostly hard snow (I do have some Volkl SL skis also for the superhard snow). Any feedback would be helpful as I need to make this move by tomorrow in order to get one or the other. Thanks. Brad

Brad, there are two recent threads that should help you. My take on it is that the newer skis require a slightly stronger skier, but that's just from reading these posts. Sounds like you've got a good deal either way.
