WOW! That looks great! This concept is backed by motor learning research. Many people spend hours at the gym training the muscles they think they need for skiing.

But the brain memorizes movement patterns more accurately than it memorizes isolated muscular contractiion. Its called the dynamic pattern perspectiive. Movements are learned and produced as a result of interactions between the nervous and muscular skeletal systems. The memory of these patterns facilitates what movement scientists refer to as "self organization." The athlete memorizes what's effectiive, and organizes movement accordingly. In sports med speak, we tell people to "train the chain."
