This certainly applies to PMTS coaches, however one thing that isn't stressed enough in the synthesis you linked is teaching the subject (in this case how to ski) vs. teaching the student how to learn [to ski]. Harald said something to me several years ago (maybe 3-4 at this point), that a good coach doesn't just teach someone to ski (e.g., to repeat movements). Rather a good coach teaches a student how to learn [to ski]. I thought that the difference was pretty insightful.
