M Schiffrin on NBC

I was watching the NBC show, "How to raise an Olympian" ,and they showed some early footage of Michaela skiing as a young child and contrary to her father's statements that he eschewed the wedge as part of the learning process, she clearly showed that she was using the wedge/pizza stance as she followed him down the trail. She certainly was at a very nascent stage of her development but I find it interesting that his memory was so selective. Obviously whatever he did worked because she is just an incredibly efficient and effortless skier. Not trying to pick any bones here I just thought it kind of interesting. Did anybody else see the segment?

I don't see any conflict with his statements. On day one I made the mistake of teaching my kids a wedge because it was all I knew at the time. By the next weekend I had already discovered PMTS and told the kids to forget what I taught them the week before because I had found a much better way.
