Dude. I hope you don't want 'em back, cuz you're not getting 'em back. Oh man. These are my new favorite skis. I love 'em, had a ball on 'em today. Can't wait to get back out there tomorrow, more laps on Prima and Highline. I gotta find another pair of these now.

I Love Head. And I get a lot.

Howdy Macker,

Hell I'd have paid you triple!

It wasn't a dream/flashback/relapse. Those are the best skis I've been on - by far.

Yesterday @ the Beav I took 'em places to try and make them fail - nada. Deep hollow snow == perfect. Clumpy snow == perfect. Ice == perfect.

They just...I can't even describe how the feel in the bumps. Right now the bumps are small, tourist bumps. But there's some big ones to be had. They're so sweet. And the carving is, ooh la lah.

"Whatta Ski, Whatta Ski, Whatta Ski, Whatta mighty good ski'.

Can't go wrong for that price. And that's probably not a bad idea. I have a pair of older original Monster 78's that are one of my favorite skis of all time. And you can't find them anymore. If I could find another pair, I'd probably buy them too.

Macker!

Thanks again, man.

I can see why you opted for the Stockli. I guess this ski isn't as fabulous on ice as the Stockli? So for back East, maybe it's not the rock star it is out here?

But I don't ski back East! Nothing against it, but it's hard to leave here. Know what I mean, jelly bean? I'm so blessed. Today I'm going over to the Beav for some laps on Grouse. Then come back and work. Saturday over to Highlands. Jeezus. How lucky am I?

Anyway, I got to give it up for Harald's gang. This was the first place I had heard of the 84. But I was still deep in love with my 78's. I had just bought a pair of Rave's, which is now my 2nd best ski. Have you seen my Rave's? I love 'em:

taco to you later.

Nothing wrong with the 84's on ice. Great edge grip. The main reason for buying the Stockli's was that I got a great deal on them, so I ended up buying two pairs. Only so much room in the closet. I've been on a ski (and bike) buying binge for the last couple of years, but that's coming to an end. My wife is retired now, so I've basically got to live (and ski) on one income. I knew this day was coming, so I had to do some long range planning and stock up on all my toys while I still could.

My buddy R2 bought a pair on my recommendation.
He's a young guy. Rips.
He just called me.
Here's what he said:
"This might be the best ski I've ever been on".
He Loves Head.

Oh.
And I get lots of compliments from guys on the lift on Fanana skis who know their stuff.

They Want Head.

Here's R2's comments from today at the Beav:
"Murdered bald eagle, osprey, and spyder today. Peak 84 is the best ski I have ever owned....and the turn radius was really apparent coming down centennial..."
He really Loves Head.

I've lived in the Happy Valley since 2001.
The snow is the best it's been this early, since I can recall.
In the past 2 days, Vail has had 16".
Yesterday the wind was howling, the snow got thick.
On the way to the hill today I almost grabbed my Rave's, because they're wider. But I was like, "Nah, I want to see how my 84's will do".
This ski, just continues to make me smile. I was cutting through it today, nothing to it. In places, the snow was up to my knees. Just cruising through it, rocking.
What a great ski this is. Yep. Definitely the best ski I've ever been on.

Dear Head,
Please make more of the Peak 84's. Please.
Thanks in advance,

Just remember to have good bindings to avoid premature ejection.
