My sentiments exactly.

It'd be great if you guys (and gals) could take a bunch of photos for a log of the days, to tell the story, for those of us not lucky enough to be able to strap on a pair of skis.

Snow reports for Europe seem good this week, can any locals tell us how this is likely to last over the next couple of weeks?

Looks like a recent 1 foot dump in the mountains since last week. Totals 11 feet

Spring is arriving rapidly in the valley. Sommerbergalm is the lowest you can ski at this time.

Looks goood..

I am interested to know, how many are going to the camp and how are they divided up?

(just revving up for next year) :)

I expect you'll all have a great week!

My views are based on my own camp attendance which was a few years ago:

Typically, Tux camps have 3 or 4 groups of 6 skiers, each group with their own coach. Midweek coaches switch groups.

Skiers are allocated to specific groups during first morning, after a run or two, when the coaches have observed the skiing. The allocation to groups seems to be based not only on skiing ability, but also on "desired" speed, that is, some people want to move "quicker" in general, skiing a bit faster (but I don't refer to doing downhill racing !), and getting more runs in by being "quick" in general, e.g. doing the exercises "in tempo", getting up the lifts "faster", in general, not wasting time on anything but the instruction...

If you have the opportunity, join a camp, your skiing will take quantum leaps and you'll enjoy the company!

cheers,
Tommy
