Excellent. That approach is so important that HH added performance checks and a troubleshooting chart to Book 2.

Ah... for the days when Killington strove to open in September, and never failed to open in October.

Of course what was "open" for "skiing" was often a bit sketchy. Does PMTS work on scattered straw?

There's a chance that I may be able to attend (have a product shipping on 12/19, so still up in the air)

Is this gathering still on? Which day will most people be there? Basil J? Doug D and partner? Jim13 and partner? Others?

Hi Todd,

We're driving up (from CT) on Wed, 12/17... about a 3 hour drive. Michael needs to rent gear, so we'll presumably ski a half day to start (particularly as it will be our first ski day this season). We plan on skiing Thurs-Sat. Sun morning is possible before we head home that afternoon/evening.

Hope to meet you there!
Doug

@ Skijim13 - is there a designated rendezvous place & time? Or should we just ski around looking for tipsy, I mean tipping, skiers?

I propose we meet each day at 8:30 am in the Snowshed lodge near the food court, my wife has dark hair and I don't have any on my head. I also have a blue jacket with white stripes. Next week is PSIA Projam week so the lodge will be busy with PSIA people about 300 people. You can contact me at 484-547-2084 or my email skijim13@yahoo.com.

I may possibly be able to make it up there for this. I'll explore it. Any affordable lodging tips?

So I'll definitely be there Friday-Sunday. PM for contact info etc. I'll be wearing the outfit in my avatar, possibly with a gray jacket instead. I should be easy to find in the lodge; I suspect I'll be the only tall guy with lime green pants and a back protector. I'll be bringing my video camera, so I can get MA footage for whoever wants it. I look forward to meeting some of you guys and making some turns!

Great! Would really appreciate some good video. Beer's on me! I'll PM later with contact info. My jacket is almost as sickly colored as your pants, should be easy to hook up.

I'll be there Thursday. Orange jacket, sea blue pants, white Head boots. If I'm not by the food court, check the season locker room on 2nd floor of snowshed ... I'll be booting up there.

On Friday, Dec. 19, we will be meeting in the Snowshed Lodge, second floor where the food court is. We will be there around 8:00 am. I will be wearing my red Blue Mtn vest. I am bald with a goatee. My wife, Lorie will be in all black. We have radios and a video camera too.

It was a beautiful Saturday at Killington this weekend. It was great to meet and ski with skijim, Lorie, and DougD. I couldn't have asked for a better first day of the season.

Me with skijim and Lorie:

Wow, it looks like it really snowed up there.
Looks like the real stuff, too.
Nice pics.
Any other meet ups scheduled?
