Saturday 5th December 09

Postby A.L.E » Fri Nov 06, 2009 6:52 pm

I'll be in Summit County on Saturday 5th December. Anyone looking for a PMTS ski day and get together is welcome to join me at either Loveland, A-Basin or Copper Mountain, depending on ski conditions.

I should be in if you end up at A-Basin or Copper.

Count me in but not for Copper. Copper weekend crowd is horrible unless you are willing to stay all day long on the six-seater chair. A-Basin is fine. What about Keystone, Vail or Beav?

We'll have to meet indoors I guess.

How else will I recognise the hairy toes.

I've only skied Copper, Breck & Loveland, so would be up for any of those alternatives, particularly Vail or Beaver.

What about you Geoff, can we get you there?

It would be better coming from Jay,

easier for the audience to keep a straight face.

Hi Guys,

sitting here in Dillon on Monday night, (three Aussies and a token Limey).

Have skied Loveland for two days, great weather.

Hope to try Copper on Wednesday and Thursday depending on conditions.

Regarding Saturday; we're keen on A-Basin.

We'll check in again Tuesday night. Not sure on internet access after that. PM by then if you would like our cell number.

Hope to see a nice big posse on Saturday.

Just want to make sure you know that tickets purchased at A-Basin ticket window ($43) are good only for A-Basin.
Tickets purchased at Keystone ($75) are good for both Keystone and A-Basin within the same day.
There are also discount lift tickets normally sold at local outlets (like rentals, etc) but I am not sure how they work regarding skiing in both areas on the same day.
The cell phones (most carriers I know of) do not work at A-Basin so you've got to meet on time.

meet at 8:30 AM at the Exhibition chairlift area. The good spot to meet is near the billboard which is located near the chairlift (in the direction of the base area buildings). I am sure you won't miss it.

Hobbit is 5' 6" tall (for Aussies it's 167 sm) wearing black Killy jacket / pants, black Ovo helmet and grey Raptor boots. Not sure about the skis (either i.SL or Supershape). If you talk to him you'll recognize some Russian accent as well.

Aussies will be there, look for MonsterMan in same jacket and helmet as avatar.
