Two great posts, Right on the money geoffda. And Ebbie the reason for the forward inside foot or boot, she can't balance on the outside ski. The forces aren't going through her skeleton, so she has to use the inside forward foot to stand on, even if it is flat on the snow, and has no angles. No inside foot management. She obviously doesn't know anything about PMTS. And she isn't going to survive the season. anyone want to take that bet?????

Yes, but if you put these photos up on a web site or social media, they can come after you because this is copyrighted. If they have a "share link" like on Ski Racing and you use it, it's OK.

Plus I think there's a "fair use educational" exception ... and those photos are certainly educating!

It's from the Facebook page of the U.S. Ski Team:

https://www.facebook.com/usskiteam?fref ... le_browser

Photo album:

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 413&type=1

Indeed, they give credit to Getty Images and Pierre Teyssot. But instead of the practice of SkiRacing.com who put the photos on their own website and link to them, the US Ski Team has uploaded the photos to an album on Facebook. This will basically give Facebook the usage rights and therefor we can link to the Facebook image. I didn't upload the image, I just linked to it. Perfectly legal, although not very nice. My bad, sorry.

I will update my earlier post with full credits.

I wonder if she was re-aligned and set up correctly... how much time would it take for her to adjust. All these years, she's been receiving all her "feedback" from that whacky set-up. Would she need to take a season off or would an athlete of her caliber re-adjust quickly (few weeks, months)????

There are 4 threads now on my Facebook page on this topic. Lindsey may not be able to deal with the forces an absolutely correct alignment set up would bring her. She would have to adjust, maybe bevel the ski 1/2 more. No one knows how well she could ski with correct alignment and how much alignment is ideal at this time, given the state of her knee. I know from my own experience after knee surgery, my alignment had to be right on or my knee pain was unbearable. Bode was smart, he took a full season off to heal his knees. For Lindsey, again to try to compete before she is 100% set up and is skiing technically perfectly, first free skiing, then gates, is just not a good program.

I know lots of "good Skiers" who ski this way, with the back Knee behind the inside foot knee. They all get sore knees. Gee I wonder why. I actually had a lesson years ago and the instructor was telling me that this was a sign of good "locked in" skiing. It looked painful and incorrect back then and it still does today. I hope Lindsay at least tries to get someone to reevaluate her alignment or I believe Harlad's premonition will be come true. I hope not. I love her fighting spirit.

I don't know what the hell you're all talking about. The alignment looks great to me.

Except, damn it Lindsey... get off the coffee table. This is why we can't have nice things!
