For the win in GS in Val d'Isere. Incredible margin considering the speed lost in the skidding recovery in run 2.

We aren't going to see many picture perfect turns when a racer is in the course.

This run pretty well backs up your statement, Max501!

Just finished watching today's broadcast. It's races like these that make you wonder what the FIS is thinking. 35m meter skis with 20m arcs on solid ice. Brutal. There is no artistry in races like this. Just pure survival. No ones skis anything clean and everyone loses their edge multiple times. Again pure survival.
Balance: Essential in skiing and in life!

FIS, change the skis, or change the rules or change the venue, this is ugly beyond belief a survival fiasco. I watched it on the Euro feed this morning, one encouraging feature, the guys who kept their feet closer and used more CB were definitely on the podium. The skvoting and extension guys were picking their underwear out of the fencing.
