Defending Slalom World Champion and defending Overall Slalom World Cup champion gets things started off right at Levi! Plus she wins a reindeer, so she has that going for her!

Took second today at Beaver Creek in GS. It was her first GS WC podium. Still only 18 years young! She is already a star but she may end up being dominant in the tech events. Wait til she really matures at 22 or 23. Should be fun to watch!

Have to admit - I was really impressed with her skiing in this race. I didn't think much of her GS last season, but she's clearly made significant improvements.

Her mother and Burke Mountain Academy, then to the US Ski Team before her 17th. The ski team coaches didn't have time to screw with her skiing. I saw her skiing when she was 4 years old, Diana used to race with her mother.

This girl skis so calm and so easy, no extra jerky movements, smooth as silk on her edge transitions, low in her turns, excellent hand positioning. She makes it looks so effortless. A joy to watch!
