The 2019 Mantra in a 184 worked very well in New England cut up and crud bumps during our March snowfest recently. I also skied the Head Monster 108 in a 184 and that was great also. I have some 187 RnRs that are excellent in those conditions. I think when you have wider skies with minimal,or no rocker and metal, that you can just use normal PMTS edging techniques and blast thru it. As previously stated, they all work in virgin snow, hell just about anything does with decent skills. Since getting untracked is so rare for me I find skiing early cut up just as fun, almost.

I flexed out the current Monster 88 and it felt great - nice and smooth, actually less stiff than many others in its class. The Stockli Storm Rider 88 felt very similar - in this class, I'd get the Monster 83 or 88, but I haven't actually skied them.
