WTFH,
I bought some Rx8's earlier this year.
I found them great, not perhaps quite as solid as the xrc1100 sandwich model, but they have fantastic grip. I tune them at 3 degrees on the side.
Tried the new liquid metal xrc's but they performed like crap, mostly I think as they had a 1x1 degree tune. On ice they were sliding all over the shop.
Shows how important the tune is.
Othewise they felt solid. Good think i didn't buy the nodica suvs, the guy at the shop was raving about them.

It may just have been the length (or ME). One of my friends demoed them, and thought they were great, now all she needs are the funds to buy them.

How well does the indoor slope transfer to outdoor use?

It's a good guide, but due to its shortness, it's not quite like the real thing. Generally on an indoor slope you go shorter in ski length.
What it does have as an advantage is that you can go there all year round and make turns, and from about 9am to 10pm
