Engaging the Stance Ski video is really helpful. It answers some questions that have been in the back of my mind for a while now.

If you picked up on what was said in the video that makes the biggest difference between the really skilled skier and the struggling one, it's in this sentence.
"A transition should have the least amount of movement change."

The keys to minimizing extra movements that disrupt the connection of turns are twofold.

1. Losing your CA through the lower half of the arc.
2. Flexing or bending too much before the transfer.

The consequence of these 2 compromising movements are:

Using extension or pushing yourself out of the arc; applies to either getting off the stand ski or pushing the CG into the new turn.
