Head all-mountain boots?

Postby JohnMoore » Thu Mar 24, 2005 11:32 am

I'm looking to buy some Head boots to replace my old Nordica Grand Prixs. I've seen recommendations from Harald for the S10 and S12 boots as well as the older FR series, but nothing on the Edge range. Head's website mentions the Edge boots as their 'all mountain' ones, which would seem to be what I'm looking for (I'm looking to do a mix of say 60% on, 40% off piste).

Do the Edge boots get the PMTS thumbs (or perhaps toes) up? Or are the categorisations irrelevant in PMTS? I.e., should I be using an FR boot for all types of skiing, as the question of flex is thought of differently in PMTS?

John

PM me. I might have a few good deals for you. I need to know what size you are (preferably in mondo).

I ski all over the moutain in my Head RS100 which is their stiffest consumer boot and I wouldn't want anything softer.

Well, I struck lucky and found a place near to me here which had Head S8 boots at a discounted price, so I went for them. I was very impressed with them in the shop, but it'll be at least 9 months before I get the chance to try them out on the snow.
