Performance Free Skiing DVD Question

Postby tarnaby » Wed Mar 01, 2017 12:25 pm

Popped in the Performance Free Skiing DVD last night and in Chapter 7 of the disk (where HH refers to Olivia Newton John's song, "let's get physical"), I can't quite make out what Harald says (bad speakers on my TV). It's something like "when I pull up my skis...is the easiest time to change my edges". Does anyone happen to know the exact language for this sentence?

Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

The 3rd secret in performance free skiing is working on pulling your skis off the snow to make quick edge changes, not by pushing into the snow. Here I apply this on a long, flat run. As I pull my feet up away from the snow, my hips come down. That's when the skis get light and I switch edges. <music interlude>
