I have a pair of the 9sls which is the same ski a year earlier. The tip is a bit soft for an SL ski which makes them more versatile off piste/bumps. Top of the C can be a little vague. From the boot back through the tail they are stiffer. I find myself skiing the back of the ski more than I prefer, it has so much grip in that area. I have to remind myself to get forward on this ski, the stiff tail just sucks you back. I haven't skied my pair this year as I prefer my Elan SLXs on groomer days. Should probably sell them. That said it's a better than average PMTS ski. FWIW.
