A device like this might enable the same ROM exercise at about half the cost:

Haven't tried it, but as PMTS skiers need to practice CA in a narrow stance, a single disc device might be sufficient (optimal?).

More advanced students could perform hip ROM stretches while balanced on one (stance) foot and tipping the other (free) foot. CA and Tipping are closely integrated movements, so this would reinforce that connection.

Thoughts?

I hate to throw cold water on this device, however it's not a biomehanically accurate device for learning correct counter acting for skiing. This is like doing a pivot slip, rather than a two footed release. In an advanced ski turn the feet don't pivot under the body. When learning to develop angles with CA, the body isn't vertical and the hips are never even on a slope or in a ski arc. Also, "counter-acting" has to be associated with lower body tipping; this is an absolutely a necessity, if one is to start the correct movement behavior. Sorry, these things have been around forever and if they actually did the trick, we'd all be perfect at CA.
