Excellent. I'm looking forward to reviewing the drills in the chair lift.
What about the other books?

Online DVD...

Postby go_large_or_go_home » Mon Sep 23, 2013 11:53 pm

Harald,
Have you considered putting all you DVD series up for download on your website? In this modern day, most of us have either laptops/ ipads etc and if nothing else, it would save you a little on packaging and postage etc etc. Plus, it's very easy for you to update/ add to your current collection.

I appreciate that there might be a webspace storage issue, but it would certainly be easier for us 'overseas' folk - especially with your ever expanding worldwide reach....

just to remove any ambiguity - my apologies.

I am not talking about video streaming - like youtube. I am talking about providing the added facility of choosing what format your movie is provided to you when you buy the movie from the HSS website. Choose either: DVD, MP4, AVI etc to meet you needs. This doesn't need to be outsourced to Amazon in the same way as with books because movie formats tend to be more universally accepted. Once purchased, you are then emailed a specific download link.

This would just remove a few of the issues that arise from living overseas…to name a couple…DVD format - NTSC/ PAL, do you have a multi region dvd player? most dvd players on PC's are region locked….Import Taxes, Freight times, Proof of Delivery Signature - great unless nobody is at home….

These are all minor frustrations, but having the movie on my iPad means that i can study it whenever i travel etc etc or indeed just before i go to bed - to really cement it into my subconscious…..

From the HSS website, here are some videos, which accompanied the hardcopy Essentials book. However, they are only a taste of what is on the 3-DVD set of Essentials videos:

Just discovered these links, to the lesson cards that are in the ACBAES books:

http://harbskisystems.com/images/downloads/ex1_insert.pdf

http://harbskisystems.com/images/downloads/ex2_insert.pdf

All these items are "portable" and a start to having it all available online, not to mention the 40 odd "skiwhh" videos on YouTube.

This just came into Harb Ski Systems, through the "Contact Us" on the web site.

Message: Hi. Just bought your ebook, 'ACBA Expert Skier 1' and it is fantastic. The best skiing instruction book I've ever read. As a terminal hip twisting intermediate I need all of the help I can get! Thank you for presenting an alternative. I was hoping you could point me towards a boot fitter/alignment specialist here in the NE. I know DODGE is in VT but they are a little out of my price range and way beyond my ability level. Is an ABB certified shop something you would recommend?

I wish we had one. Richard Bennett (724-778-5490) in the Pittsburgh area is the only one I'm aware of in the region, now that Glen's no longer available.

If a flight to Colorado is out and Pittburgh is also unworkable, PJ Dewey at Race Stock Sports in VT is probably the best remaining option. He's not a Harb-trained fitter/alignment guy, so it won't be the same, but he's probably the closest you'll get in the area, and a lot better than you'll get at a lot of other places.

I've actually got a pair of boots I bought right as Glen was getting out of the business that he didn't have a chance to set up for me. I'm looking at flights to Colorado..

PJ is old school canting and it will be hit and miss at best. If you have the right set up for what he knows you will be OK, if you don't, you may end up worst. Glen is the only one who "would" be reliable, but he's flakey and no one knows what he's doing this year.
