You are not a PMTS Skier, unless you can do this!

I call the Phantom Move, PMTS Check number 8.

Here is the two time Overall World Cup champion, and arguably the best technical skier since the great, Alberto Tomb, demonstrating the Phantom Move.

I still remember the fools on Epic stating that no one on the world cup uses the Phantom Move or lifting a ski. Also added was that lifting a ski was stupid. Well, I guess this proves that world cup skiers are stupid. And that Epic is not watching the best skiers on the world cup, only PSIA types. They would probably not see it anyway. How can you be a ski instructor and not see that a racer is lifting a ski, boggles the mind. What else does the PSIA examiner not see in your skiing? Probably most things you are doing.

Here are the top 10 advantages to never lifting the ski. They are:

1. You will never know what it's like to ski in balance.
2. You will never learn a quick edge change.
3. You will never have early engagement.
4. You will never create a release.
5. You'll never discover how out of balance you are when you ski.
6. You'll never know what dynamic skiing feels like.
7. Bumps will always throw you for a loop.
8. You will look like a golf cart. and ski like one.
9. People will approach you and ask you if you'd like a lesson.
10. And worst of all, the number one reason that you should never lift a ski, you'll ski like Bob Barnes.

Can be applied to all PSIA skiing.

I really admire Sgarrozzo becouse is continously supporting PMTS on italian ski forum and
with very good arguments!

He deserves a lot of kudos.

Meanwhile, lot of times I become lazy becouse I'm feeling like speaking to people with mental desease....
curious thing: when i'm speaking about HH and PMTS I encounter lot of attention by VERY
good skiers, former WCuppers or Europa Cuppers, National instructors or the Malfatto brothers, Jam session team,
(they are HH fans) while mediocre skiers always argues telling poor things in the desperate attempt to flatter
some instructor there (who respects me BUT NOT them) ...Communication laws are counterintuitive!
So, do the math...

Good Easter to all PMTSers from the sunny and snowy Italian western Alps!

p.s. to HH:
YOU know what you are missing if you don' t come to Hintertux !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I know I will be missing my friends, great laughing and lots of great skiing with the groups. Also beer, Negroni, schnapps, dancing and singing. See you next year; my knee is coming back well, three weeks more and I'll feel like skiing. Doctors says no. End of May is OK.

Happy easter all, it's summer today in the rockies, beautiful day, snow again tomorrow.

Intentionaly lifting the ski is considered 'athleticism' and not real technique. At other points it is considered "performance from the ski", and not intentional.

Trust me, I know about all the bad stuff.
