When carving a turn, the inside ski is tipped to the Little Toe Edge (LTE) of the foot, and the outside ski is tipped to the Big Toe Edge (BTE) of that foot.

Don't worry, after a bit the terminology becomes clearer. Welcome to our contentious little world.
