Increased awareness as a direct result of PMTS

Postby jclayton » Sat Nov 06, 2004 2:41 am

I have found not only am I much more aware of what I am doing and when but I can break down the technique of other skiers I see on the mountain and in videos . It's possible to see when , where and how they release and change edges for example .

This I think is the crux of a lot of disagreements on the Forum , PMTS students can pick up this breakdown in some detail even if we have trouble explaining what we see . Skiers I had formerly seen as gods , I can now pick holes in their techniques , surely this is a good thing . Even Harald would I think be happy if his students could see a slipup , he admits to them just like every other human .

Idols on pedestals are of no practical use to anybody !
