I bought them this morning, with freeflex pro 16.

Friday I'll go to Tignes for my club annual 4 days open season training
so I'll teste them inside the gates.

In june, following Harald suggestion, I bought past season Supershape 170
and I used them to practice intensively PMTS drills.
Really versatile and amusing, after a good tuning they were perfect
even on morning ice in Cervinia-Zermatt (this summer lot of snow and very cold!)
and even in GS turns.
If You flex coming out of the turn before releasing, keeping the edges on,
they litterally throw you uphill, it's an amazing sensation!
Very, very good while working to have a better high C angles
and early carving...
After Hintertux, being disgusted of my skiing I didn't speak
and post so much but I worked hard constantly refering
to what Harald told me, news and vids to come after Tignes...

Funny, I remember him saying he didn't care about money and all he wanted to do was ski the perfect run.

Great ad BTW!!

I've got a pair of 2008 SS, 170 cm and some old Dynastar Legend 8000's in 178, about 79 underfoot if I remember right. I like the Legends in powder and deeper snow and am looking for something to replace them. Are the Icon TT 80's different enough from the SS that they would be a good replacement? If so, would you recommend 178 on the Icons or get the same length as on the Super Shapes? if the Icons are pretty similar, what would folks recommend as an alternate ski to the SS?

Thanks for your input.

I have SS and the Head Im78...a great compliment for deeper snow. Last years Head Peak 78 same ski. You can find both new online if you look. The Kastle MX78, from what I hear is also a good one, but very pricey. If you are looking for a ski for deeper snow days, the TT Icon is not the one to pick as a complimentary ski to the SS. The SS actually has more float as it has a wider tip and tail. If you were to replace your SS however, the TT Icon 80 is one to consider.

If you are using the ski for a powder ski only, then the new Head Peak is good and forgiving ski. It has a slight flex point near the tip, to bring the tip out of the snow. It's not as good on hard groomers as the old ski. If I ski powder I have the TT 80 or for real all mountain powder ski, a big fat Head.

Thanks for the suggestions Mike and Harald. The IM or Peak 78's sound like they might be what I'm looking for. So two more questions - first length. If I'm on 170's for SS and 178 for Dynastars, should I think about 171 or 177 for the Peaks? I've always tended toward the longer, so would need to hear if it would make sense to be on the shorter ski. And just for grins - I happen to have an old pair of Head Monster Cross skis in my "can't throw them out" quiver. I have no idea how old they are, but am thinking may-be close to 10 years. I still sometimes pull them out for deep powder. Does anyone remember them enough to hazard a guess on how they might compare to the Peaks?
