LTE Wedge?
Since wedge seems to be a popular discussion topic recently, here is my question/observation:
I think that pronounced LTE tipping achieved by inverting the free foot can result in a position that can look to a naked eye as wedged. I notice this sometimes playing with Harb Carvers. In addition to foot inversion there is a bit of either planar flexion or inward rotation of the free foot which causes it. The turn entry can look like a bit wedged, with the LTE being tipped more than BTE.
The turn initiation looks a bit like a little javelin, but without the free foot lifted off the ground.
I think the reasons for it can be headological, I am afraid of outward rotating the free foot to avoid introducing rotary impact to skis/skates and I want to maintain the stance narrow.
Does anyone else observe the similar behavior?
Is this OK to do that?
There is a small chance that my skates will collide, but so far each time this happens the LTE skate ends up making much sharper turn and things work OK.
