I guess that stuff would be bad news by yourself and head first. It was hard enough getting out with help and feet first. What a way to go.

No skiing around here. Did a bunch of hiking here and in England though. I'm bored.... It's too warm.

I saw tis thread too. Sad news indeed. I understand that the problem was caused by the fall but nobody knows what really happened since he was skiing alone.

I was at A-Basin today and it's still nice top to bottom, few trails groomed in the morning. 108 days and still counting ...

We have one more week to go but I am not sure if they'll make it through this warm weather. In any case, I have my Carvers ready for the summer and started playing with them already .

I think it's time to post the picture...

Picture - which one?

The one where Dan tried to help me out and sunk to the waist?

Oh - that picture? You think I kept that one?

Blackmail requires the correct setting or reason.

In any case, a picture like that is not appropriate when discussing hazard conditions that killed a fellow skier.

Rule of thumb - no back country skiing by ones self. A sad accident.

A-basin still open. Boy that's tempting!
