Footbed Question for HH or Jay

Assuming an average foot, are the $30 Superfeet type of product better than the stock footbeds (that ship inside of boots) for people that can't get to an HSS trained technician?

In some cases the superfeet instant footbed can be supportive. We grind most of them as they are too stiff. But this is only a comfort helper, not a corrective footbed. An everting heel gets no support from this device. It does also block some feet with lower arches from being able to evert. So it locks up the foot. If you have a narrow boot, like a Dobie 130 or Head Raptor 130-150, you have to cut the superfoot down to make it narrower than the inside of the shell.

Yes, from the point of being less intrusive, but they are also less supportive. It's not really the answer, but they can be more comfortable than the ones that come with the boots.
