Great! You will be more thoroughly measured and evaluated than you would get at any standard bootfitter. Footbeds and boot alignment can definitely make a huge improvement.
Many of us have experienced immediate improvement through an alignment (by a PMTS-trained bootfitter) of our existing equipment. You should be mentally prepared going into the process that you could find out that there are some limitations with your existing boots. Some of those might be limitations with the boots themselves for PMTS technique (such as rotary vs. lateral), or in how well they really fit you. You could also find out that you can make a lot of progress with proper alignment of your existing boots, but you might need to plan for an upgrade later on to achieve your full potential.
At some shops, a sales-focused staff will make recommendations based on what they want to sell. Anyone who carries Harald's recommendation will recommend only the work that you really need - I have observed this with numerous skiers.
